Hi and welcome to our wedding page. This is kind of a chronology of our relationship, how we met, our engagement, and ultimately our wedding, along with bunches of photos, when we get them.

I "met" Jay in a great little chatroom here on the net not long after it first opened. We found out we lived in the same city, Ft. Lauderdale, and became great friends. I was getting ready to leave a very abusive long term marriage and he was getting ready to file separation papers. I left Fla. and went to SC to stay with relatives until I got things straightened out with myself and to decide what I needed to do. We corresponded by email and talked on the telephone and on Pow Wow and eventually decided to meet in person. I had to drive my relatives back down to Fla. for Thanksgiving in 1996 so we met in Vero Beach Fla, a few miles from where I was staying. We had a wonderful time and knew there was more to our relationship than just friendship. I went back to SC and made my decision to come back down here to Ft. Lauderdale and file for divorce. I got a job and a small apartment and started a new life. We dated constantly and the day Jay's divorce was final we moved into my apartment temporarily until we were ready to move into his house. We've been here in the house now since Nov. of 1997 and have been supremely happy. We're working on remodeling our home and getting things the way we want them.

~The Proposal~ We went back to Vero Beach Fl for Thanksgiving 1997 and 1998, to the same place where we first met, and had a wonderful time. It's a very sentimental place for us and holds great memories. We ate at the very same Italian restaurant as we did on our first date. It was there on Nov. 23, 1998 that Jay asked me to marry him.
